On November 30th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King—Vaughan, joined the community for the CPKC Holiday Train's stop in Vaughan. Since 1999, the Holiday Train has raised over $24.3 million and over 5.3 million pounds of food to help people struggling with food insecurity.
"Over 150 years ago, Sir John A MacDonald commissioned this railway to be built from sea to sea—so we are literally on that very path that unified our country—and it's very fitting we stand here ahead of Christmas which is time we come together as a community," said MPP Lecce. "Thank you to those that came out to support the Vaughan Food Bank —and thank you to our amazing first responders that show up every single day to keep our communities safe."
