On October 7th, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King--Vaughan, attended a memorial for the one-year anniversary of the October 7th terror attacks organized by the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, along with Premier Ford.
"One year ago, the world awoke to the horrors of the October 7th terrorist attack by Hamas on the Jewish people, where we saw rape, murder, and barbarism unfold before our eyes. And in this country of Canada, we see an unprecedented spike in hate crimes against our Jewish neighbours. That is un-Canadian and unacceptable to witness," said MPP Lecce. "Now more than ever, we must stand up in defence of civility, decency, and democratic values in the fight against antisemitism and hate. Never again -- it's right now."
