On August 25, Stephen Lecce, MPP for King–Vaughan, joined by Vijay Thanigasalam, Associate Minister of Housing, addressed the crowd at the Vaughan Tamils' Heritage and Cultural Organization's Summer BBQ.
"I want to thank the leadership of the Vaughan Tamils' Heritage and Cultural Organization here in the City of Vaughan for hosting this amazing event," said MPP Lecce. "Together, we celebrate the Tamil contribution to our country, commit to protecting the Tamil language – the oldest language on Earth – and stand with you against the persecution you face back home."
